Do I need previous emergency-response experience?

Not all roles require experience. Some specific field positions do require experience.

Are volunteers paid?

No. Atlas does offer reimbursements, or other compensation in some situations.

Do I need to purchase equipment?

No. Depending on your role we may provide the equipment needed. If you have personal equipment, it will need to be approved prior to using.

How often do volunteers train?

All volunteers will receive initial training relevant to their role. Each role requires more frequent training. standard is monthly or bi-monthly

Will I deploy outside Arizona?

If you agree to deployments, yes

How long are deployments?

Deployments vary. Average is 5-12 days. We ask you commit to a minimum of 5 days, but you are able to leave when you need.

Can I volunteer without deploying?

Absolutely. We are always looking for volunteers to help with admin, events, or donation drives.

Does Atlas provide training?

Yes. We provide training relevant to your applied role
